Welcome to Elder Services of Worcester

Effective March 1, 2012

Due to the State's budgetary crisis, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs has mandated a restricted intake policy for all Aging Services Access Points.

During this time Elder Services of Worcester Area Care Managers will continue to assess all individuals referred. Some individuals will be placed on a waitlist for Home Care Services. Those with the highest level of unmet needs will not wait for service.  The Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs will direct Elder Services of Worcester Area as to when we can move individuals off the waiting list and they can begin receiving services.

Elder Services of Worcester Area offers many programs and services that are not impacted by the Home Care Waitlist.  Not all elders will go on the waitlist.  It is important that you continue to refer elders to our agency.  We will complete a home visit and work with each individual to best meet their needs.

To make a referral, or if you have questions about the Home Care Waitlist or the programs and services we offer, please call us (508) 756-1545.

Is there anything more comforting than being safe at home?

For elders and younger disabled individuals who are frail, being in their own home provides security and a very important sense of independence. Elder Services of Worcester Area, Incorporated's mission is to help elders, younger disabled individuals, and their families obtain essential services so that elders can remain at home with dignity and independence for as long as possible. Elder Services of Worcester Area, a private, not-for-profit agency, is one of twenty-seven Aging Services Access Points (ASAP) in Massachusetts and assists elders over the age of sixty and younger disabled individuals from fifteen communities in the Greater Worcester area. Building on more than two decades of experience, our organization is an expert in community based, long term care.
