Where can I get a flu shot this year?
The following Website is useful in helping you find a public flu clinic near your area. http://flu.masspro.org/ or otherwise call our Information and Referral department for a list of clinics available in your area.
How can I get Meals at home or in the community?
Elder Services of Worcester Area has a contract with the Age Center of Worcester, who runs the Home Delivered Meals (or Meals on Wheels) program. If interested in receiving meals, an elder should contact their case manager to discuss authorizing this service. Others can contact the Age Center for further information about the program, at 508-852-3205.
What transportation options are available for elders?
Assistance with transportation is available through a number of local organizations such as Councils on Aging, Regional Transit Authorities (RTA), senior centers and Aging Services Access Points. They provide subsidized bus or taxi rides. Our Information and Referral Department has information regarding your local Council on Aging or Senior Center.
